Manage in-house payroll and benefits across company locations and related businesses. Combine payroll processing, accounting, benefits coordination, and employee support.
Trained new delivery employees, including use of ADP timekeeping and attendance tools. Created a video guide for punch corrections and timecard edits.
Managed hotel payroll and accounting, prepared financial statements, supervised accounting staff, trained payroll processors, and supported property transitions.
Built an early foundation in hospitality payroll before progressing into broader payroll and accounting responsibilities with HMC.
Independent delivery services, ongoing Amazon Flex and Walmart Spark work, hotel night audit, and administrative support add practical scheduling, customer service, and operational experience.
Operational accuracy, accounting discipline, and practical support for employees and managers.
Payroll processing, employee setup, deductions, garnishments, final pay, timekeeping review, discrepancy resolution, and multi-state payroll experience.
Eligibility, enrollment, carrier coordination, deduction setup, benefit invoice reconciliation, employee support, and retirement-plan administration.
Payroll journal entries, general-ledger reconciliation, labor allocations, payroll accruals and reversals, and experience preparing full financial statements.
Payroll and timeclock implementation support, Oklahoma withholding setup, deduction tax treatment, processor training, and clear process guidance.
Real examples of investigating discrepancies, bringing records into agreement, and helping people navigate change.
Identified and corrected 31.25 missing regular hours, then addressed the timekeeping practices behind payroll discrepancies.
The challenge: Payroll entries did not consistently match recorded punches and meal periods.
My approach: Reconciled time records to payroll, corrected the documented missing hours, and worked with management to clarify how actual punches, meals, and manual adjustments should be recorded.
The result: Corrected the current payroll issue and established clear expectations for supporting manual entries and preserving accurate time records.
Investigated a wage claim involving pay, leave balances, and final-pay timing, assembling the records needed for a complete response.
The challenge: The claim required reconciling several questions across payroll, timekeeping, leave records, and company policy.
My approach: Reviewed payroll records, timecards, schedules, accruals, calculations, and proof of payment. Organized the evidence and submitted a documented response and sworn statement.
The result: The Texas Workforce Commission determination required no additional wages or penalties.
Resolved carrier billing discrepancies by tracing employee elections, eligibility, effective dates, and payroll deductions.
The challenge: Enrollment records, payroll deductions, and carrier invoices can tell different stories when a change is missing or applied at the wrong time.
My approach: Reconciled monthly insurance invoices, investigated differences across records, and coordinated with employees, brokers, and carriers to address enrollment, coverage, and billing issues.
The result: Corrected billing discrepancies and brought the related records into alignment through detailed reconciliation and follow-through.
Set up ADP payroll and timekeeping at multiple hotels while representing HMC’s corporate office on property transition teams.
The challenge: Newly added properties needed to adopt HMC’s systems, policies, and operating procedures.
My approach: Implemented ADP payroll and timekeeping systems, established company procedures, and addressed process weaknesses by developing and putting improvements into practice.
The wider experience: Also trained payroll processors and, in 2009, provided comprehensive training and continued oversight when payroll responsibilities transferred to HR.
I’m exploring payroll leadership, payroll operations, and payroll & benefits opportunities in the Tulsa area and remotely. If my experience fits what your team needs, I’d welcome a conversation.
